Lucille #2 - Lucille #2 is done and is another straight shaft and blade, normal paddle. The curves for the blade were cut out by stacking the wood and cutting it in one pass so that they match up when glueing. The thin strips are of bass, black willow and cherry. The paddle edges and blade tip are also cherry. I really like the curvy result which reminds me of a classic hour-glass woman's figure, hence the 'Lucille' name. Kind of goofy I know...artist's license! I have the bent shaft model done and I just finished sanding it. Pictures coming as soon as I get a chance.
